“Shall I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?” says the Lord. Isaiah 66:9
Over the past few years, my Rock the Baby pose in the photo has been consistently appearing in my choreography. I’ve been adding the movement into my ballet class Révérence as well. Not your typical movement for Révérence but I like to break the rules sometimes (smile). Révérence is an exercise usually performed at the end of a ballet class, incorporating a curtsy or bow, to show a grand gesture of respect between teacher and student (and piano accompanist if present).
Since I began integrating my Rock the Baby movement, I also started receiving several words from the Lord about Birthing Your Promise. Most recently, I had a dream where I saw several people groups whom I pray for regularly. They were either pregnant and ready to deliver or had already given birth and holding babies.
As we know in the natural, labor pains get pretty intense just before a woman delivers her baby. However, in my dream, the atmosphere and overall feel was one of rest and not labor. I believe the Lord wanted me to share that although our present circumstances may feel intense, God is bringing His people into a season of rest. We will not need to strive to receive our promise that is in the process of being birthed.
I also saw that the artists in my dream were given a pair of eyes. The eyes looked like the plastic ones you find in craft stores where the black pupils move. This image reminded me of 2 Chronicles 16:9 where it says, For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you will have wars.”
The Arts
The Arts and Entertainment industry is one of the most influential mountains of society. As artists we have the opportunity to manifest light or darkness, love or hate, truth or lies through our creative expression. I believe great blessing is coming to the artists who have ministered God’s heart in their work and have not compromised amidst worldly pressures.
‘Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once – and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for My people Israel…'” Amos 9:13-14
So, rest assured, Kingdom Artists! If your desire has been to honor God in your endeavors, to show Him révérence, but you’ve been experiencing opposition, be encouraged. God sees your heart. He’s storing up blessings on your behalf. You are entering a new era of active rest, about to birth your promise!
What are you creatively birthing this season? I’d love to hear about it!
